Lessons from Tendrils

I was going through some of my garden pictures from last year and I came across all of these wonderful photos of tendrils.  Last year I grew a new zucchini variety (which has now become my favorite) called "Tromboncino" (click HERE to view "Tromboncino Zucchini").  This zucchini was a climbing vine and it had the most terrific tendrils.  If you are not a gardener then let me define "tendril".

Tendril - a twisting, slender structure by which a plant (such as a grape or Tromboncino) twines around and climbs another object or plant.

These tendrils will cling to other plants and often the only way to loosen their grip is to cut the tendril and separate it from the plant.

It struck me that we should be clinging to God in the same way that these tendrils cling onto other objects as they grow.

Cling - to hold or hold on tightly, to adhere as if glued firmly

- to have strong emotional attachment or dependence

- to cleave, adhere, embrace, entwine

That is a lovely description - "Our Heavenly Father is our life and the length of our days."

Take Hold - to grasp, seize, take root

Take hold of God's words with all of our heart.

Hold Fast - to remain steadfast or to hold onto something tightly.

 - to physically hold onto something tightly so that it does not move or fall.

- to remain firm in one’s beliefs or principles despite challenges or difficulties

Hold fast to God with all our heart and soul.

Let's hold fast, take hold and cling to our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Energy, Frequency & Vibration #6 - WATER

This is part 6 in the series on "Energy, Frequency & Vibration."  Today we are focusing on water - here are some basic facts about water:

- our bodies are 60% water (children's bodies are about 74% water but adults are between 55% & 60% water)

- we can only live about 3 days without water (although the record for living without water was 18 days)

- water controls the earth's temperature

- only 3.5% of earth's water is freshwater

- groundwater is the most abundant freshwater source

- water is the only substance that occurs in three states of matter (liquid, solid/ like ice, and gas/like water vapor)

What does God's word say about water?  Let's "dive" in (haha - since we are talking about water) and see what we can learn.  

Probably the most important lesson to learn is about the "living water", which is the Holy Spirit flowing within us (see what Jesus said in both Scripture passages below):

 

Let's talk about some important "water" events that occurred in both the Old and New Testaments - here is a quick list:

- Moses strikes the rock (as directed by God) and water comes flowing out (read Exodus 17:1-7 & Numbers 20:1-13).

- Noah and the flood (click HERE to read "NOAH & the Flood")

- The parting of the Red Sea (read Exodus 14)

- Jesus walks on water (read Matthew 14:22-35)

- Jesus explains to the disciples about being "fishers of men" (Luke 5:1-11)

And then there are many sayings or symbolism using water - here are a few:

- in Psalm 42:1 it says " As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God."

- anyone who trusts in God has nothing to fear - they are like a tree planted by a stream:

Also, there are the Bible verses talking about the New Heaven & the New Earth:

By now you might be thinking "what does living water have to do with energy, frequency & vibration".  Well, think about the Holy Spirit - those urgings that we feel can be described as energy, frequency & vibrations.

A Japanese scientist did an experiment showing how water responds to prayer.  (watch video below):

Remember that our most powerful Spiritual weapon is prayer.  Invoking the Name of Jesus (at which every knee shall bow) will transform anything according to God's will using God's energy, frequency & vibration.
