EARTHWALKER Sunflower Variety
September is SUNFLOWER Season here in God's Growing Garden. I originally had four different varieties planned for this year but due to the critter attack that occurred, I will only be able to share three varieties (click HERE to view "Garden Destroying Critters" to see what happened). This is the third and final sunflower post of 2024. Today I am featuring: EARTHWALKER Sunflower variety which was a better surviving variety than "Indian Blanket" because 3 stalks endured the critter attack!! (see links above to see what I mean by "critter attack").
The seed for this beautiful sunflower was bought from:
Mary's Heirloom Seeds

Before showing the featured pictures, I wanted to remind you why sunflowers are my favorite flower. Sunflowers always turn towards the sun - you can literally see them gently turning throughout the day to follow the sun. To be very clear - I am NOT a "sun" worshiper. However, I am a "Son" worshiper: Jesus Christ The Son of God and I strive every day to grow and turn towards Him in every aspect of my life.
ENJOY the following pictures!

Halfway through blooming, the critter (mentioned earlier) pulled stalks almost down to the ground (thankfully without snapping off the stalk). They earned their namesake because it looked like they were walking along the earth (in a few pictures below you will notice grass in the background - these were the stalks pulled to the ground).
