TREES #16(b) - NOAH:  The Flood

Instead of waiting for next month, I decided to complete the 3 parts about Noah (in the Tree series) in July.  Today we are continuing in our Bible study on trees and are focusing on the the actual flood.  Below are the three parts about Noah:
16(b) - THE FLOOD
16(c) - POST FLOOD

In today's continuation of the trees series, we are studying THE FLOOD.

This is Part#16(b) - NOAH:  The Flood

Try to imagine forty days and forty nights of nonstop, massive rainfall.  Just recently we had a severe storm and there was a torrential rainfall for only about 10 minutes nonstop.  Just in those few minutes, the bottom of our driveway was flooded and all of the pathways in our garden looked like there was a stream running through.  I can't even imagine how quickly everything would flood if we had that type of rainfall for forty days and forty nights.

Then, to make the flooding even more intense, the "fountains of the great deep" were overflowing and adding to the massive flooding (see verses below).  That means that the waters were rising from below, as well as being poured from above.
The rainfall would have been even more intense than what I experienced recently because it wasn't just torrential rainfall - the "windows of heaven were opened".  I can't even fathom how heavy that rainfall must have been (see verses below).

Plus, the fact that the boat was made of wood and that withstood such a constant water attack makes "trees" so much more astonishingly awesome!  God's creation is truly amazing.

Now, I cannot continue on without mentioning the obvious.  What I am about to say is NOT hate speech - it is simply fact and word for word quoting from God.  Notice that all animals loaded the Ark were "two by two" AND "male and female" (see verses below).  It does NOT say that nonbinary or transgender animals were loaded onto the ark.  No.  There are only two genders - male and female.  If you have an issue with that then you'll have to take it up with the Lord of hosts - the Creator of everything.

Also, notice that "the Lord shut him in."  They must have experienced "cabin fever" of sorts but that was for Noah's (and all on board) safety - only God knew when it was safe for the doors to be opened.

"Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.  The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters.  And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered.  The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.  And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.  All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died.  So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.  And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days."
Genesis 7:17-24

The rainfall "only" lasted 40 days and nights but the flooding continued for 150 days!!!!  That's five months.

There will be times in life when we will feel trapped, just like Noah must have felt when he was locked inside the ark.  However, there is a reason that God has put us in that situation and it is for our protection and benefit that we stay secured.  Trust God ALWAYS.
