BBB - Birds, Butterflies, Bees & Other Bugs
It has been an unusual growing season this year. It started out with three straight weeks of no rain at all. That was during the germinating portion, so many plants either didn't make it or were strained. However, the rest of the season has been very good. I was able to capture some unique critters on film.
ENJOY the following pictures!
All photos were taken by me (Angie Ouellette-Tower) in my garden.

BUTTERFLIES
I did an entire post on this beautiful "Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly" (click HERE to view).
BEES
In the first picture below it looks like that bee is sitting on the sunflower leaf (haha). Then, in the third picture below you will notice that there are 3 bees on one sunflower with a 4th one on the way!

other BUGS In the first picture below there is a little ant on one of my "Echinacea/Purple Coneflowers" (click HERE to view a post about Echinacea). Finally, the last two pictures capture a bug that I was unable to identify. I thought it might be a young grasshopper but after researching online I don't think it is. If you are able to identify it please let me know in the comments. |
