INVALUABLE - Proverbs 31 Mom

Today, in most countries we celebrate Mother's Day.  I know that this can be a difficult day for many, so in this post I thought we'd focus on the qualities listed in Proverbs 31:10-31.  These characteristics are certainly something that all women could strive to implement into our daily lives.

Firstly, let's begin by defining "Invaluable".

Invaluable - valuable beyond estimation

In Proverbs 31:10 it says that a virtuous wife is more valuable than rubies.

I listed 8 characteristics in the picture above:

Wise

Righteous

Joyful

Trusted

Smart

Hardworking

Talented

Compassionate

We will go through each characteristic as it is described in Proverbs 31.

WISE

"She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness."
Proverbs 31:26

RIGHTEOUS

"She does him good and not evil

All the days of her life."
Proverbs 31:12

JOYFUL

"She shall rejoice in time to come."
Proverbs 31:25

TRUSTED

"The heart of her husband safely trusts her;

So he will have no lack of gain."
Proverbs 31:11

SMART

"She considers a field and buys it;

From her profits she plants a vineyard."

Proverbs 31:16

"She is not afraid of snow for her household,

For all her household is clothed with scarlet."

Proverbs 31:21

HARDWORKING

"She seeks wool and flax,

And willingly works with her hands."
Proverbs 31:13

"She also rises while it is yet night,

And provides food for her household,

And a portion for her maidservants."

Proverbs 31:15

TALENTED

"She makes tapestry for herself;

Her clothing is fine linen and purple."
Proverbs 31:22

"She makes linen garments and sells them,

And supplies sashes for the merchants."

Proverbs 31:24

COMPASSIONATE

"She extends her hand to the poor,

Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy."
Proverbs 31:20

And because of all these characteristics she is praised:

"Her children rise up and call her blessed;

Her husband also, and he praises her"
Proverbs 31:28

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there.

Let's make sure to praise the moms in our life today!

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,

But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

Give her of the fruit of her hands,

And let her own works praise her in the gates."
Proverbs 31:30-31
