DAY#2 - Bible Verse Advent Calendar (Luke 1:26-27)
Advent is the season that begins the celebration of Jesus' coming to earth. The word "Advent" is derived from the Latin word "adventus" which means "coming". During Advent Christians celebrate the birth of the Messiah Jesus but it is also a time to prepare for the second coming of Christ.
Every year I try to feature a different Advent calendar - last year, if you recall, we wandered through a German village. This year, we are blessed with a Bible Verse calendar focusing around the nativity.
Today is December 2nd and I am opening Box#2

The Scripture passage is difficult to read in the picture above, so here it is:
"Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary."
Luke 1:26-27
