ROUGE ROYALE Sunflower Variety

September and early October is SUNFLOWER Season here in God's Growing Garden.  Every year, during the month of September (and sometimes going into October), I feature the sunflower varieties that I grew during the summer.  I grew 5 different sunflower varieties this year but one of them didn't germinate, so I will only be featuring 4 varieties in the Sunflower Series of 2022.  Today is the final post in this series for 2022.  I am featuring: ROUGE ROYALE variety.  This variety is truly stunning and looks as if there is a light behind the middle part of each flower.  It really does look like it has a self powered light.  I also get an "Art Nouveau" feel from this flower's color combinations.

Before showing the featured pictures, I realized that after 11 years of featuring sunflowers I have never explained why they are my favorite flower.  Sunflowers always turn towards the sun - you can literally see them gently turning throughout the day to follow the sun.  To be very clear - I am NOT a "sun" worshiper.  However, I am a "Son" worshiper:  Jesus Christ The Son of God and I strive every day to grow and turn towards Him in every aspect of my life.

ENJOY the following pictures!

All photos were taken by me (Angie Ouellette-Tower) and the sunflowers were all grown in my garden.

The photo below was taken on a very windy day and it's almost as if you can see the movement of the sunflowers in the sun ray swooshes:
