Welcome to the ninth year showcasing sunflower varieties grown in my garden. Today we continue the Sunflower Series of 2019.
I split this sunflower variety into two posts: "Light" Plum and "Dark" Plum (the Dark Plum will appear next Friday). My parents had the most delicious plum tree when I was growing up - it's called a "Burbank" Plum. This is lighter in color from the regular dark plums that we are used to. Below is a recipe that I created using these delicious tart and light colored plums (click on the title to view the recipe). You can see the resemblance in color to this sunflower variety.

All photos were taken by me (Angie Ouellette-Tower) and the sunflowers were all grown in my garden.

ReplyDeleteI love sunflowers. They will always have a place in my garden. I'll be Pinning your post so I can reference the different varieties that you have listed. I see several that I would love to add. Thanks for sharing, and feel free to share on my Sunday's Best Blog Hop. We go live every Saturday night at 8:00 PM EST.
