Featured Bloggers

I found these broken parts in the trash of what was likely a nice bed at one time. And to my sons horror I squealed, "I need those!".

Hello World!  Today's post is all about Vintage and Antique decor.  Since our focus lately has been on Fall, it's so easy to incorporate vintage and antique elements to our Fall decor and know that they will add that something special.

The goal for Fall decorating is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere to welcome friends and family.  Items such as pumpkins, burlap and dried hydrangeas all add to the ambience.

I love chicken pot pie and nothing says comfort more than one that is homemade, but I really don’t like making dough!  So I use refrigerator dough!

The sweet flavors of apple pie transformed into a healthy gluten-free vegan quick bread! This apple pie quick bread recipe is the perfect autumn breakfast, snack, or even dessert!

Craving a Salted Caramel Mocha, but not near a Starbucks? Then make my version of their delicious, sweet and salty drink in under 10 minutes!

Sticky Fingers

A home-made jam will take you right back
to a well-loved book or a favorite snack;
and every adventure should end with break
and leave you a bit sticky from tea, jam and cake.

Hello sweet friends!

Come into our kitchen, now decorated for Fall, specially cause I embellished my hand carved, wooden dough bowl I love and found for $8 some four years ago and it's quite big too.

Make these beautiful fall leaves in a matter of minutes using only a glue gun and some glitter and foil or a Teflon sheet. These simple DIY fall decorations can be used in a variety of ways to adorn your house for Autumn!

So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And don't sin by letting anger control you. Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

I love creating from recycled material.  Taking something that would have normally ended up in a landfill and creating something new and beautiful out of it is right up my alley.

There is an ice cream shop close to our home that is opened seasonally and they close in October right after they sell out of their most famous ice cream flavor. There pumpkin ice cream is only offered in the month of October!

Earlier this week a brand new cookbook became available from famed chef, Bobby Flay. At long last, Bobby shares his simplest, most sought-after recipes—while still delivering his signature intense flavors. I whipped up Bobby’s Carrot Cake Pancakes with Maple-Cream Cheese Drizzle earlier this week and am excited to share the recipe with you, along with a fabulous giveaway.

Donuts topped (or filled – your choice!) with a tangy apple pie filling and finally drizzled with my homemade salted caramel sauce!!! ARE YOU READY FOR THIS??

My fall decor this year are in brown and white contrasts.
I started off with burlap mason jars and fall lettering. Once I figured out what I was going to do, the entire project took less than 15 minutes start to finish!

Hallloween parties and specifically, Halloween party foods are so much fun because they tend to bring out our creative if note devious sides. From eyeballs floating in the punch bowl to brain or spider shaped cakes, Halloween treats are my favorite to make all year!

My husband loves soup. He especially loves homemade soup. So you can imagine my surprise when I realized I’d never shared a soup recipe with y’all. That was until today. Today I’m sharing the recipe for Chicken Taco Soup.

When I say easy I mean that if you can work a can opener then you’ve pretty much mastered this recipe.

I think I've shared with you before,I LOVE ANYTHING CARAMEL! When most of you are drooling over chocolate, I'm drooling over caramel. About a month ago, I was getting ready  to do personal progress for the teenage girls in my ward, and of course, I had to take a treat. With it being Fall, my mind always goes to the flavors that scream the season. I had a lot of girls tell me that they didn't like apple pie and didn't know if they would like this.By the end of the night, the same girls were sneaking another square. It made my heart sing!

So, y’all know I’ve been virtually a dehydrating fool since I got my  * Excalibur Dehydrator earlier this year – so much fun!  I love to have all those dehydrated veggies in my pantry, their pretty sparkling glass jars lined up smartly on the shelves.  I’ve been using those dehydrated goodies in my simmering soups when I make endless-soup lunches for RancherMan & me and of course I also often rehydrate and use them in dishes I’m cooking.

I have been super interested in contouring for a long time, but hadn’t gotten around to trying it myself because it seemed a little intimidating. Then one day last week I found myself looking at a beautiful contouring kit from Smashbox (complete with three shades, a contouring brush, and diagrams showing how to contour for different face shapes!) and I decided it was about time I test it out and see what contouring is all about.
