Fun Friday: Winter Pictures
As many of you know, one of my animal children is a Great Pyrenees - he is now a senior dog but he still loves the snow and colder temperatures. Since he is 9 years old (Great Pyrenees pups live between 8 & 10 years) we make sure that we cherish every moment that we have with him. You will see that his favorite winter coat is red and if you scroll down you will see that he eats snow as if it is whipped cream.
I also have a "love/hate" relationship with our local squirrel population but these pictures will make you smile I'm sure.
Please enjoy the following pictures - all pictures were taken by me (Angie Ouellette-Tower)

ReplyDeleteLovely photos!
ReplyDeleteoh gawd your pup is killing me with cuteness. We lost our Newfoundland Bruce at the sweet age of 11 1/2. It's been a year already and I miss him much!!!! We used to have a Kuvasz who lived to be 9 . I love these big guys!!!!! HUGSSSSSS Christine from Little Brags
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss - 11.5 is amazing for these large breeds. I only pray that my pup will live that long - he's 9.5 right now & has had many health issues but I'm treasuring every moment with him.
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by!
I love the winter photos. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of the dog, how did you get him to sit still in the snow like that? My little Min Pin is so spoiled she would never...lol!!!
ReplyDeleteHe loves the snow - I have a difficult time trying to bring him inside - he just wants to stay in the snow.
DeleteCute pics of the doggie!! Love it!
ReplyDeletehaha they are both so cute!
ReplyDeleteAdorable photos! That dog....looks awesome! Thank you for your giveaways abd revuews!
ReplyDeleteWe are considering a Great Pyrenees for our 14 acres! I bet he eats a TON!
ReplyDeleteThat would be a perfect breed for 14 acres!! He doesn't eat as much as you would think that size dog would eat but may I make a suggestion? - If you do get a Great Pyr - please make sure you check out the breeder - our dog has had many health issues because he was from a puppy mill (we got him from an animal shelter but the shelter said that he was from a puppy mill) ENJOY!
DeleteThat squirrel is so cute! And your dog looks like he had a great time in the snow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics! Your dog is so handsome. My dog, Mickey loves to eat the snow as well. I would be so cold, but he doesn't seem to mind! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely sweet!
ReplyDeleteHi Angie! Great winter photos. Your dog is adorable. I hope he wasn't too cold in all that snow. It looks like the squirrel was posing for you. Ha, ha!
ReplyDeleteI have a 5 month old black lab/pitbull mix and he also loves to play in the snow. He is lucky because we have alot of snow right now.

Angie,
ReplyDeleteHe is such a beautiful dog. We love our dogs also. My daughter has a 15 year old Australian Shepard, a blue Merle with huge blue eyes, she cherishes every minute with him also. He is her constant companion. Thanks so much for sharing with last week's Adorned From Above Link Party.
Have a great week.
Debi
How adorable! Your pup is too cute. I can't believe he's not freezing in all that snow! He looked like it didn't even phase him.
ReplyDeleteCute squirrely pics! As an animal advocate I was first worried when I saw the pics of your lovely pup, but I do understand the breed and their love of the cold!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. The dog is beautiful. That snow is too cold for me though.
