Certain of What We Do NOT See

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.  Hebrews 11:1

This is so simple but yet so deep. 

What "being sure of what we hope for" means to me:

- being sure of God's grace & mercy through Jesus Christ

- believing without a shadow of a doubt that I will again see those in Christ who have already passed away

- trusting that God will guide me & protect me
- understanding that everything happens for a reason and I must live in a Christ-like manner even in the most difficult of times

 

and being "certain of what we do not see" means:

- knowing that God the Father, Son & Holy Ghost exist and
- being confident that I have eternal life through Jesus Christ who died on the cross for me (for all of us)
- confident that my sins have been forgiven
- believing that God loves me unconditionally
- knowing that God is in control - always and forever


I could go on & on but I wanted to focus on the basics.

What makes you "certain" & "sure" in your Christian walk?
